Line up question

Is there a way that I can set my own starting line ups and what not but the AI does the strategy during the game and what not the AI keeps on changing my battling line up

i already have it setup for me to do the lines

Seems you're watching the games but not managing them?

Right before the game starts there's a bar at the top for pitching and lineups. Select that and make any lineup changes you want then let the game play out.
