I’ve just started a 2020 Live season (I’m new to OOTP!), and expanded by two teams to Nashville (Hounds) and Las Vegas (Scorpions).

Am I the only one who role plays, to the extent that I won’t use team names if the league would consider them “controversial?” LOL

I was going to go with the Las Vegas Hitmen, but then ol’ Rob Manfred got my ownership group on a conference call and said there is NO WAY the league will allow that name! Now I know how Trevor Bauer feels....

I'm sure you're not the only person who has a sense of decorum, no.

I should change the Cleveland and Atlanta teams in my save, come to think of it.

Oh man, you reminded me I want to bring back the Cleveland Spiders! Thanks! Lol.

...I suppose the Braves remain problematic, but man, I couldn’t bear for them to switch unis. Maybe just call ‘em the Tomahawks. Or maybe the Centennials...

It was not very long ago that professional leagues would never consider putting a team in Las Vegas, due to the gambling connotations.....

I mean, you’re not wrong. LOL

We’re talking about a league who fines guys for unapproved shoe colors, but then slaps an entire organization gently on the wrist when they are caught cheating. Also a league who tries to shut down outspoken players’ social media channels, while turning a blind eye to “likeable” guys who superspread during the World Series**! Haha.

Nothing makes sense, other than if it brings controversy, the league office applies pressure to avoid said controversy. Finally, the same league who is considering expanding to Vegas, but still will almost certainly never absolve Pete Rose, nor Shoeless Joe Jackson O_O

**(Due to the league’s own slapdash protocols, but still)
