Teams with best record in a season

Why do they seemingly always get bounced early on in the playoffs? It has happened to me a few times and I've seen happen to other teams. Is this a flaw in the game?

Likewise, I won my diamond league and also had the best record/RDiff. I've also had seasons where I lost early. Baseball is random.

It's all about making the playoffs. Once there anything can happen. Regular season stats mean nothing!

Counterpoint: One of my alts had the best record in the regular season this week and then went 11-0 in the playoffs.
