Cold streak or a problem?
I acquired a good 27 year old power pitcher (former Cy Young winner) who has a career K/9 of 9.1 over 1000 IP, which is backed up by good stuff, velocity and three elite pitches.
So far this year (71 IP) his K/9 is 6.5 and he is struggling mightily. Early on I felt like it was a cold streak but I’m at the point where I’m wondering what could be wrong? Is it possible that he has lost stuff and my scout just hasn’t seen it yet? Or is my scout telling me it’s a cold steak and he will bounce back? |

Did you try asking your scout for an updated report? |

I have not specifically request one, but the latest scouting report was from yesterday in game, which still shows 70 Stuff (has had him at 70 his entire career). Should I request a report? Are requested reports more accurate than the regular reports I get naturally?
