Can you play 1B at 5’10?

Looking to upgrade at 1B for a playoff run and I’m looking at a DH that’s 5’10 with 50 IF Range and 60 IF error (20-80).

Would he be a disaster at 1B? His bat is pretty good but not good enough to make up for bad 1B play.

Make him a first baseman and see what happens.

Open his player profile, go to the ACTIONS pull-down menu in the right-hand corner. Go to "set position" (you may need to be in commissioner mode for this) and choose first baseman.

50 range? He will be fine at 1B. I don't think height or weight has any bearing on the game. It's just a thing to list.

Height does have bearing on 1B fielding ability. It's not massive but it's there. That said, if a player is good enough to play any other infield position he's almost certainly going to be good enough to play first unless he's like 4'10" or something.1B is far easier to pick up aptitude at than any other position in the infield (or the team, really).

I don't understand the question. Does the guy have a 1B rating? If so that answers the question. If he doesn't, well, upgrade for a playoff run sounds like its before the trade deadline, and he won't learn to play 1B on the job.

Go to the Hall of Fame and ask Steve Garvey's plaque. Also, as to OOTP I've gotten away with some real clankmitts at 1B, so it wouldn't matter.
