Can't install new patch

Everytime I try to install I get an error message saying not compatible with pc. I'm clicking on the same fastspring version I did with other patches. Previously the game worked fine, now I can't play. Then a message comes up saying sorry the installer can't start the game. error code 1004 result code 0 The os has denied access to a file

Sounds like you may've downloaded a patch for the wrong OS. You might want to double check you downloaded the proper patch for your specific OS.

What OS are you using (Windows/Apple and 32/64 bit)?

Windows 10 64bit. I have not had a problem with the 64 bit version before this patch and I clicked on the same link as always.

As I look closer at the message, it almost looks like either the file didn't download properly or else doesn't have the proper permissions.

So I would recommend deleting that file and redownloading again to a completely different folder.

Still getting the this app can't run on your pc message when the install program gets to the point where it would normally open OOTP22 to complete installation. I'm definitely stumped.

Got it to work after completely uninstalling and re-installing. Weird. Thanks so much

Hello. I've tried to download the HOTFIX about a dozen times on two different Mac computers. The download never proceeds beyond about 0.4MB downloaded and then it dies, citing a Network Error. Any suggestions?

You might try using a download manager. That should deal with things to resume the download even if it times out.
