Is It Possible.......Historical Mode Question......

Is it possible to have Drafts active when playing in Historical mode and starting before the Drafts actually began, which I believe was in the 1960's? If so, how please?

Apologies if this is a question that has already been asked and answered elsewhere, I did have a look but couldn't see it.

Yes. You can have the draft begin any year you would like.

I think a historical game you enable or disable the draft at league creation

Adds player from different years, so u could have Crosby play in the 1920 or Gordie Howe starting in 2000's, u should do a test with it and see what happens

I played around with random debut for a little bit last month and if I'm not mistaken you could play, for example, in 1997 but have a 30 year old Crosby (he would have been 10 in real life) and a 21 year old Gordie Howe on the same team.

But I could be wrong, I didn't really get that far with it. I think it basically randomizes not only when a player shows up but also their age (at least initially - not sure what happens the following draft. Maybe then all players are set to be 18-20?)

A more limited random mode would be awesome. What I would envision would be a setting where, when you turn it on, you could set a randomness of number of years. So a randomness of 1 would mean that a player that came out in 1980 could appear from 1979 to 1981. A randomness of 10 would give the same player a chance of appearing from 1970 to 1990. Since this would be happening to all the players, it would randomize the entire draft process. This way, when playing in Historical Mode, you can’t easily stockpile draft picks in certain years to try to gather up all the best talent.

EDIT: I don’t have the most recent version, but I don’t think this has been added, has it?

What happens with random debut if the players younger or older self already exists, does he get duplicated? e.g. If 1980 Wayne Gretzky appears in 1990 , what happens to 1990 Gretzky?
