Broad Street Bullies (1979-)

I love FHM7 and just started a historical simulation with the 1979 Philadelphia Flyers. Why 1979? Because it's the year the WHL folded and the Flyers were my favorite team growing up as a kid. They were still a very good team at the time, just a few years removed from back-to-back Stanley Cups. I've been playing around a bit with the game and I'm always impressed with how realistic FHM is. Not that OOTP isn't, but I think FHM is even more so. And, it's so much fun to go back into time and look at the historical players, teams, and uniforms.

As a kid, I grew up playing the Coleco hockey game where you had to peel the stickers of the uniforms and put them onto plastic players. I loved that game as a kid and I'm 48 now so I remember watching games on ESPN including the 1980 Stanley Cup Finals between the Islanders and Flyers. So much fun to relive those days.
