AI Using opposite lineups - RU vs LHP, LU vs RHP

This could be me, but my team is terrible after being pretty good last year, both in Diamond. So I looked at the 7 day lineups a few times throughout last night into today and it seems to be using the opposite lineups it's supposed to and it is having the expected splits results lefty on lefty, righty on righty. Looking at this upcoming 7 days, I manually did it for the 4pm sim and the 4:30, but the rest of the week has my lineup vs righties facing all the lefties and my lineup vs lefties facing all the righties. Without manually changing the lineups every time, how do I fix this?

After average and up seasons last year, Freehan, Gehrig, Franco, Joe D, and Kaline are all well under .200, Dickey, Schmidt (ok, expected but leads the team with 3 whole HR), Appling, Vaughan, Rose, Crawford and Keeler all between .200 and .224. Jackie is the only one "decent" at .274/.338 with 1HR. No one on the team has more than 3 HR.

I have not changed parks.

If it were playing close to normal lineups I'd chalk it up to bad luck/variance, but when it's playing the opposite lineups it's supposed to it's extremely frustrating.

7-day lineups are meant to be a manual thing for greater control. If you have them enabled, they will do exactly what you set them to do and will not automatically adjust. If you want to set it & forget it, just use your normal lineups.

ok, so what if a guy is tired and it still keeps trying to play him at 0% (I've already adjusted his bench %) so I want to make a manual adjustment? Use the 7 day, then go back to the normal lineups selection after that sim?

that should work, or just swap them in your regular lineup for the day

Keep in mind there are also multiple settings in the 7-day section that you can use. For example, if you have it set to "clear lineups", then it will use that lineup once, clear it after the game, and if there is no lineup set, revert to the defaults. If you want to just set a single lineup for a game, you can use that to rest a specific guy, or to set a specific lineup for a game, and if you have it clear after the game, it should essentially revert back to your default lineups.

Or if you allow substitutions or changing the lineups based on pitcher handedness, those can all adjust how exactly the game will use them and when they may deviate from your set lineups.

Definitely wrong pitchers

Ok now something else is definitely wrong. I haven't changed my top 4 SPs all year and my #2 has 14 starts, my #4 has 12, my #1 has 8 and my #3 has 8. Looking at their logs, 1 (Rixey) and 3 (Gooden) are pitching once a week. 2 (Maddux) once every 5 days but more than once he's gone on 2 days rest after pitching 7 innings. 4 (Felix) did the same.

This can happen if you have the pitchers set in the 7-day lineups without clearing them and without the option to swap in if they are tired. So if you had Maddux set to pitch on Monday and Saturday in your 7-day lineup, without clearing it and without the option to change pitchers if tired, he will pitch Monday, Saturday, Monday, Saturday, etc... until you clear him from there.

Oh weird. So am I accidentally changing the pitchers with when doing the hitters? I don't think I ever consciously changed a pitcher.
