Florida State League Reimagined
Here are some logos that I've created for the teams of the early Florida State League. Most of these are teams that played the inaugural season in 1919.
First up the Bartow Polkers Bartow is in Polk County, named after President James K. Polk. |

Orlando Caps
So, the back story here is that Orlando was strongly petitioning to have the Florida state capital moved to Orlando due to the central location. The effort eventually failed, and the team changed its name the next year. |

Sanford Celery Fed
(Sanford is a suburb of Orlando now but in the 1920s it was a small town with a massive celery industry. Their high school's mascot moniker was also the celery fed. This is one of my all-time favorite team names) |

Tampa Smokers
(The original logo and most reinterpretations of this one usually include cigars since Cuban immigrants in Ybor City created an American cigar capital in the city. That being said, I went with the leaves here, thought it looked a bit classier. I might be wrong.) |
