Topps 1991

Below is my version of Topps' 1991 card set. The xml requires two basic png files, and then a team-specific wordmark png file. The "topps1991" zip file has the xml and the basic png files ... the wordmark files turned out kind of large, so they are in several separate files.

The "topps1991" zip also has an all-star icon (I have not made a version of the actual 1991 all-star card). To use it, edit the xm by adding this line:

<ELEMENT type="image" x="161" y="2" zorder="92" width="56" height="56" content="91_shield.png" />

Place the xml files in your bbcards templates directory (for OOTP22, it's Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 22\bb_cards\templates\ootp22\), and place the images file into your bbcards images directory (for OOTP22, it's Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 22\bb_cards\templates\ootp22\images).

All of the templates have a line in them that uses my team backgrounds file (which can be found here: https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=328973). If you want to take the team backgrounds out, edit the xml file by taking out the token with [%TEAM_NICK]_[%RANDOM_NUMBER].png.

Thanx! Always liked this set, and suddenly realized there wasn't one in this game.

Here's a better version of the White Sox wordmark ... and a maroon-and-sky version of the Phillies (in my league, I eventually have them change to these colors) ... and one based on TxRanger's design for a possible Atlanta name change (which I'd like to see happen ... preferably in 2024).

Just realized that I uploaded the wrong version of the main zip file; it's been taken down, and the proper version is there in its place.

Thanx! I went ahead and made the official all-star version ... AL and NL. Right-click and save the two template images, and download the XML file.

Change the teams text color to red from white where you load the teams logos and jerseys and caps. Try it and you'll see.

By the way, once you make your cards you can go ahead and change the text back to white. The cards you made won't change back.

Yup ... what they said. The xml links the nameplate background color to the team's text color; the inner frame stripe is linked to the team's main color.

These are great. I've added a page for these at my baseball card repository:
1991 Topps

I've also added a zip file that combines everything into one zip with both the base cards, the all-star cards, and all the artwork. I didn't include the backgrounds, so I modified the xml files slightly to accommodate users who don't have them, but there's a reference in there for advanced users.

fhomess, Fonzie13 has done some other sets you might be interested in. Also done in very fine style. You should check them out.

I don't make it on these forums as often as I used to, but I'll look them up. If anyone wants to IM me links to the threads, I'll make sure they get added to my Wiki repository.

These cards are fantastic! Downloading them now!!! Fonzie, you are extremely talented.

Is it all possible to make this Donruss set from 1991? I grew up enjoying those Topps that you made and the Donruss set. Appreciate all of your contributions for the community to make the game more immersive and enjoyable
