OOTP 23 (Steam): playing '53 Dodgers:can't find a player

Pitcher Joe Black does not show up in my major or minor league rosters, and actually does not show up at ALL anywhere, in ANY organization. SO I can't trade for him, import him, etc.
He played quite a few games for the '53 Dodgers, and was on their roster the entire season from what I can gather.
How to rectify this, and why was such an important pitcher/player not only NOT included in the real-game roster for 53 BKLYN, but is nowhere to be found anywhere, in any organization? He pitched 34 games for BKLYN in '53.

Confirmed. I can't find him either.

Check that. I found him on the Brooklyn reserve roster.

Can't find him anywhere. He's not on any of my BKL '53 rosters: minor lg teams, major league roster, or any OTHEr org. that I can see. I checked transactions, injured lists, etc. I don't see anything called a "reserve roster", either. Where can I find that?

Also, in the OOTP23 online manual, it states that teams that have affiliated minor league teams do not HAVE "reserve rosters." Which could be why Black isn't showing up anywhere and why I can't FIND any reserve rosters for '53 BKLYN....the organization (at least for me) has several affiliated minor league teams. SO I'm still stuck with no Joe Black. Is your OOTP23 set up differently than mine, so that your BKLYN 53 has a reserve roster and no affiliated MNL teams?> THanks.

Correct. I have no minor leagues.

Ahh, OK. I guess perhaps you set up your replay to NOT have minor leagues (I didn't know you could do that). Is there a way to set up a historical replay season with NO minor leagues, so that the season exists with ,say, all the FINAL players on each team's 53 roster, and one doesn't need to do historical trades, etc? I've been playing OOTP for years and never know you could do that?

After all this time and all these years playing OOTP, I never realized you could select "no minor leagues" and simply being a historical replay season with the exact players needed! So I deleted my created 53 season and recreated a new one, selected no minor leagues, and bingo...there is Joe Black on reserve roster! ON to my replay! THanks to you...
