2024 Boston Red Sox Speed-Run

Hello I’m PJ Bishop and I’ll be the GM and manager of the Boston Red Sox starting in the year 2024, OOTP 25. By speed-run I just simply mean I won’t be playing out every game unless of course we make the playoffs and it won’t be a very in depth look. More for seeing how far I can get into the future and how many rings can I bring to Boston.

With the rosters current construction I expect to be an above average team. We may or may not make it into the playoffs but I do expect a winning record and meaningful baseball come September. I do not anticipate making any major moves come trade deadline as I think we are too many pieces away from any serious World Series contention.

The rotation depth is there but the top line starters just aren’t what will win you a championship. Tanner Houck is a very good starter and glad to have him but not one I consider an ace of the rotation.

Bullpen is almost there and should hold its own all season. Would like to add one more late inning RHP to hold or even earn a save if called upon. Definitely need a LHP that completely neutralizes lefties.

Lineup is solid top to bottom but a couple of bats will help solidify it. Main thing missing is that impact bat that changes the dynamic when he’s in the lineup.

Prospects look a little barren and far as knocking on the MLB door I’d say it’s C Kyle Teel but he doesn’t fit what I look for. I’m all for power and long as your average or so on defense I’ll be fine. Unfortunately Teel doesn’t fit that profile and maybe traded at some point either in July or Winter Meetings.
