Most of team is "released" every time my parent teams move players around (VHL)

So I'm a fairly new FHM 8 player who had a lot of fun playing with NHL Commissioner mode on my first couple playthroughs.

I wanted to give challenge mode a try with a fresh GM who was completely unknown, and Yermak Angarsk was the best team to offer me a job.

Spent the first 3 weeks in game trading and signing free agents only to realize that once I hit July 26th, both my parent teams will send players up and down on my roster, which will lead to a huge chunk of my team being released. These are players who have a contract with my VHL team, not one of the KHL parent teams. Is there anything I can do about this? I decided to give up on challenge mode and tried to screw around in commish mode to see if I could potentially remove my affiliate status with my parent KHL teams but I dont think I can unless its July 1st.

Here are some pics of my ingame, third image shows half my roster being released

It's pretty difficult to run a team with more than one parent, specifically for this reason - they're not going to care about the players you signed, they just want their guys on your roster. The only real way to deal with it is to wait to see what they send you, and only then sign guys if you still have empty spots.

And yeah, you'd need to start on July 1 to remove the affiliation.

I gotcha, I found a work around as one of my parent teams actually has 2 VHL affiliates. So I sent that team all of the contracts from that parent KHL team, and since then I've only had to deal with one affiliate now that my other parent prefers to send their players where the rest of their contracts are. On occasion my team will drop 1-3 players but I can pretty easily edit their contracted team to resign them. Thanks for the response though!
