Playing Gold or lower tournaments

I've played 5 tournaments in last 2 days in the Ace Of Gold Quick Tourneys and in each tournament the scoring has been outrageous for both teams the entire time. I don't care who pitches and who's hitting. IN one tournament both teams scored double digits (each) in 4 straight games & the remaining 3 games were high scoring as well. Well needless to say every pitcher was gassed. I made sure I had 90 to 100+ defensive rating on infielders and outfielders. Looking at each team I played we basically had same pitchers & mostly the hitters too. I hadn't played tourneys in a while & is this something out of the normal? Has anything changed? Earlier in season I played many tourneys & there was nothing like what I'm seeing now. 13-17 runs a game for each is NOT uncommon. Starters are non-factors. Please let me know if I'm losing my mnid or this is the new normal
