Random League 3 year recalc???

Maybe I have been just paying more attention this version (23) but I have noticed more weirdness this version using 3 year recalc.. For one thing there is a thread about stolen bases but issues with stolen bases have been going on for awhile.
The main thing I have noticed this version that I didn’t notice before while playing Random with 3 year recalc is the leaderboard with single season batting average. I played out about 5 years but something seemed a little off so I fast simulated another 25 years and noticed 3 of the top 7 players for single season batting average were guys I wasn’t familiar with. Doing a little more checking and discovered that in all 3 cases it was in those players first “real” season and they had limited ABs (ranging from 70-175). There 2nd season was at or slightly above average.
Have any of you seen weirdness in your stats using 23?
I deleted that league and started a new league using 1 year recalc and I am liking the results better.
For some reason I just don’t trust this new game engine under the hood yet. Maybe it is my imagination but I keep asking myself if there are kinks in it and should I go back to 22 (again). I’ll give my new league some time and if it starts looking weird, then I guess I will go back.

Had you noticed that "double-weight" ON is now the default? So if you do nothing that setting applies. That's what it seems like is happening here.

Strange thing is, double weight is also on by default if you choose 1 year recalc.

I have always “assumed” that with it click with 1 year recalc that it doesn’t do anything. Anyway, I uncheck it to make sure for my 1 yr recalc..

I can't imagine what it would do, but this is the first year if's ever been on for 1 year recalc. Very odd.

With 1 year recalc, having every player's season double un value kinda cancels itself out no?
