Why can't I play Standard game start in Commissioner mode?

On the first screen, I decline to play the putrid Challenge Mode. So far, so good.

On the second page, I check "Play in Commissioner Mode" and "Cannot be Fired" because I don't want to have my valuable game playing time wasted by time-wasting Morons. Again, so far so good.

Then I select a team. The Commissioner Mode box unchecks itself and grays out (or whatever color it changes to) I cannot re-check it.

I start the game. I can't edit the players' injuries (again, I don't want my time wasted). Or anything else. There is no way to reinstitute Commissioner Mode.

This is simply unacceptable. I want to play the game my way, as I have for 20+ years or so.

Put this back in.

I went back to a OOTP23 MLB save and I could edit players to my heart's content. So this has to be an OOTP24 change.

This is not intentional. There seems to be a bug on that page that locks you into the first team you select with commish ticked. It might keep you from re-ticking commish mode too if you select then unselect.

We can take a look at that.

However once you start the game, if for some reason commish mode isn't selected, you just need to go to manager options> and tick the 'play in commissioner mode' button.

This is the same as it's worked in past versions.
