Baseball from Down Under

After the game of cricket was first brought to Sydney in 1803, it was an immediate hit. However, people wanted to find a way to shorten it. So they invented a new sport. You'd swing your bat straight, have 4 bases to run on, etc. This new sport would be called "Baseball" and it's first amateur game would be played in 1875 between Sydney Commonwealth and Western Sydney Wanderer. The game would grow more and more popular over the next 30 years, with some professional leagues trying to form, all of them fizzling out. However in 1907, the Australian Association of Professional Baseball Clubs would be born as the first professional baseball league to ever exist. This time, the league would last.
