Free to Play without entering tourneys

Is it feasible to go Free To Play and progress up to Diamond or Perfect League WITHOUT engaging in tournaments? Or are tourneys a must to get lots of cards?

I believe you can do it by collecting all available twitch drops (currently ~60 packs/week) and logging in every day (currently 37 packs per 30 days). Tournament play not required, nor is PT+. But, the method I use involves a lot of doing nothing which is very boring for most people. OTOH, if you only want to spend 5 to 10 minutes a day, it is ideal.

I have a FTP team in Gold now that is not PT+ and has not played any tourneys. They have not completed all the Live Missions either. So, I think yes you can go to Diamond easily enough. But it is very hard to win a Diamond WS so you can go to Perfect League.

Edit: I forgot that they did finish the Live Missions this past week. But they were already in Gold for a week.

I’m new this year and using Go but haven’t heard anything about Twitch drop packs? Can you explain and are they Free ???

They are free. You can get five packs a day from affiliates, and five from the OOTP official stream, for a total of ten each day.

Thx for the help . Think got my first free pack claimed just gotta check OOTP go if translated to in game. Using twitch app is ok right? Played game called Destiny 2 on ps4 had give way on twitch and I found out only after watching that rewards only worked on PC /website not mobile app don’t want a repeat..

You have to claim twitch drops manually every 15 minutes on the phone. If you can get them to be claimed automatically, please tell me how.

Does the OOTP Dev account have a live show everyday ? See can go different affiliates if one off that day but official packs only from OOTP devs right ?

So I'm in my fifth season, now in Silver, having won promotion my first 4 seasons. In fact I won my league 3 times, only failing a fourth when I lost in seven games to a team that was near identical to my own

So now I sit in Silver watching as the tournament I had been planning to begin entering drop off the face of the game. I have no intention of listening to the boring twaddle of Twitch drops--I have better things to do in retirement. My new player is Perfect Eddie, who is the worst performing Eddie in the league.

I've got 4 of 8 Beltrans Gold Mission, with 2 cards bought so far this season. There is no hope of improvemet for many seasons.

Is there any reason for me to continue?

You could click the mute button on the Twitch window and go about your retirement.

If you are not having fun, don't continue.

I absolutely detest some of the things that are happening in PT since the apocalypse of Com2Us. But I love baseball and winning the WS every week is not expected so I get to concentrate on fun. I have been retired since 2003 and I do all the "better things to do" in their time and place. Often with drops going in the background of my life during those moments.
