Unrealistic trades

Historical game, 1919/20 season.

At the beginning of the season, I put several players on the trade block whose contracts were expiring. These were first or second line players 30+, but I knew that next seasons their performance would drop significantly. During the year, I received offers from the rebuilding team for each of the players, but did not respond to the offer: I did not complete the trade, did not reject it, and did not discuss it. After winning another Stanley Cup, I made those trades easily in June, because the offers included top prospects from the first rounds of previous drafts. Am I cheating or is this a game bug?

Historical game, 1917/18 season.

The teams trade the 4th round of the 1917 draft for players, although in fact this draft will not be held, since the season will end in the 1918 draft. In addition, my team has no rounds in the 1917 draft.
