Question about Defensive Controls

Could not find this in the online manual. OOTP24 game. I'm on defense, and looking at the options, #1 is Pitch to Batter, #2 is Pitch Around. #3 shows Pitch to Conta. The rest is cutoff. #4 is Intentional Walk.

Any help with #3?

3 is Pitch To Contact. When text is cut off change your text size or run full screen if not already.

Why do people use different players, different lineups, different strategy, development, talent change randomness, and the development lab, but judge the game on whether it produces historical statistics?

Kinda what I thought. Now, what exactly does that mean. Never heard that phrase before.

We can only assume. Team strategy settings have slider for pitch around. One end is never and the other end is always. So perhaps the never end is equivalent to Pitch To Contact. I think a better phrase would be Challenge Hitter.

But then what does 2 mean? If it's not pitch around and it's not challenge what is it? Aim just inside the corners instead of just outside? Does anyone have that degree of control?

Anyway, not really knowing the meaning of the words (I recently started playing some individual games myself after a long time not doing so) I decided to let the AI manager control the pitching according to what I set for team strategy. I understand what the slider does.

Thanks again. I'll look closer at those controls. Brand new to the game and still trying to figure it all out.

Throw a strike to encourage the batter to swing and put the ball into play.

I am looking for the manual online for defensive controls but I can't find it on their given manual. Can anyone here share a link with me where I can find the manual? I will be thankful to you.
