xFIP and SIERA
Is there any chance of adding/bringing back(?) xFIP and/or scrapping or fixing SIERA?
As is SIERA doesn't work correctly and doesn't meaningfully predict future performance. It's consistently much lower than FIP and ERA. There was a thread about this from 2022 that I found: https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=336240 It wasn't fixed in OOTP24, and because SIERA's so convoluted it might be difficult to get it to work correctly. For that reason, can we get xFIP in OOTP25? Currently there aren't any great indicators for future pitcher performance in SSS's (b/c FIP's heavily influenced by sometimes aberrational HR rates). xFIP isn't that much worse than SIERA and is much easier to implement. |

I would add that, on the batting side, wRC+ is not park-adjusted in OOTP. That largely undermines its case to be a superior alternative OPS+ (which is park-corrected).

While we're at it, let's standardize the WAR calculation to align more closely with the Fangraphs or Bref version please
