Facegen Issue (no, not that one!)

Just noticing something. I always use the custom created Facegens provided in the mods section to get more accurate FaceGens for players.

This seems to work for the most part, however, when I am clicking on 'Auto Reload Picture' for David Jiricek of CBJ, it continues to change his facegen over and over, despite him having a file present in the directory.

You can see from the screenshot below that his name has all characters matching his naming in game, I copied it from his edit tab to be sure:

Why is this happening?

Other players, for example, Zach Werenski, has a Facegen file present and when I auto-reload on his one it continues to load the same Facegen file over and over again, as expected.

It's due to the special characters used in his name, it's especially prevalent
with Czech and Slovak players. What's frustrating is there are some characters which will work
with a certain letter, but won't work with a different letter.

I suspect it has something to do with font conversions between FHM and Windows.
FHM literally creates the filename (.png file) with the characters, then
you copy that filename exactly to the Facegen (.fg) file in Windows ,
but FHM then can't understand those exact same characters.

I usually try to create two facegens for the player (with and without characters),
so you can just edit them out of his name in FHM.

I'd prefer if FHM would just scrap them entirely, but I think they get imported from Elite Prospects,
which is unsurprisingly inconsistent in whether it decides to include them or not!

Thanks for the insight, yeah originally the facegen file didn't have the special characters, which is why I thought it wasn't working. As you say, when I added them, it still didn't work. Frustrating that these two systems seem to be out of sync with each other - hopefully there is something the devs can do to try and tie it together.
