League Description:

The Juiced Ball League is a competitive and engaging OOTP online league that started in 1991 and is currently in 2001. We simulate 6 days a week for 7 in-game days at a time, with sims running at 9pm EST unless otherwise noted by the leadership council. We value active participation and adherence to our unique rules that enhance the realism and competitiveness of the league.

GM Expectations:

Export at least 3 times per real-life week.
No cheating of any kind will be tolerated.
Be respectful of other GMs at all times.
Be active in Slack.
Address concerns to the leadership council privately.
League Settings:

Ratings: 20-80
Universal DH
Same number of minor league teams for every organization
1990+ style MLB scheduling; interleague play introduced no earlier than 1997
No revenue or luxury tax, with 20% gate share to visiting team (excluding season tickets)
Player Contracts:

6-year maximum contracts
Specific rules for multi-year contracts and extensions to maintain competitive balance
Detailed guidelines for contract clauses, bonuses, and incentives
Free Agent Compensation mimics the MLB 2017 CBA QO system
Trades:

Draft picks tradeable only when the draft is live
Injured players can be traded
Free agent signings tradeable only after June 15th of the following season
Trades processed in-game and agreed upon in Stats+
Minor League Roster Rules:

Standardized number of minor league teams
Roster sizes and service time limits mimic real MiLB
Waivers/DFA managed with specific guidelines for expired DFA time
Amateur Draft:

30 rounds done via Stats+, with a detailed timer system for each round
Draft lottery for non-playoff teams
No competitive balance picks
Rule 5 Draft:

Only players 23 years or older eligible
Rule 5 draft conducted in-game
Staff Requirements:

Full staff required at all times, with specific rules for coaching poaching and penalties for non-compliance
League Evolution:

Ballparks evolve based on real-life changes
Expansion/relocation and rule changes decided transparently with input from the leadership council
Rule Change Procedures:

Rule change proposals act as a CBA, lasting 3 seasons with specific guidelines for proposals and voting
Leadership council has veto power with the ability for GMs to propose an overrule vote
