Mass edit player name and ratings?

I have a fictional league ive been (stupidly) running by hand since I was a kid. Now that I'm in the OOTP world I'm trying to recreate the league, players, and history in the game. Is there a bulk/mass way to do this or would it be going through player by player?

export in to .csv files and edit in excel
