Injuries
Does anyone have a rash of injuries every season? It seems like I have 3 or 4 players every half a season with injuries that completely tank my season.
Is this a bug or am I doing something incorrectly with tactics/training? |

Simply load your save, in the left upper corner click on 'FILE', a drop down menu will appear, click on 'SETUP / OPTIONS', a settings page will appear, look to the right and find 'OTHER OPTIONS' - the first option under it will be 'Injury Frequency Adjustment' with a field next to it, by default saying 'Normal' - click on it and another drop down menu will appear, where you can select which option you prefer. Now, this will not reduce injury severity or length of recovery time (as far as I know), but it will reduce the amount of injuries that happen. EDIT: In regards to actual gameplay - players have a set of stats related to how prone they are to injuries, you can find it in their profile in the 'Scouting' in the 'Injury Tendencies' graph in lower left corner. You may want to replace some players if you have too many with high injury tendencies. Last edited by ety516; 12-12-2024 at 06:43 PM. |

Have you guys looked at the injury lists in the actual NHL? This game is relatively on par. What irks me most is when the injury is something like a small cut and the player is listed day to day. The really minor injuries should not be a thing as most players can play through those without issue.

I always change it to "Fewer" as mentioned by ety516. It seems whenever I forget to do that I get multiple players with 3+ month injuries every season.

Thank you. That was helpful.
I have another one for you: Training. How do I set it up so the assistant sets training. I swear I was able to do it in the past, but now I can't find it. |

That being said, if players are getting over played, fitness drops, have low stamina, or you're playing aggressive tactics, you will incur more injuries than normal.

I just lost a player for 1-2 months with a finger sprain.
