Are you looking for a more competitive and engaging OOTP experience? Flash The Leather is a buy-in league where every GM is invested—literally and figuratively. Our managers aren’t just going through the motions; they’re strategizing, trading, and building their teams with care. We’re looking for dedicated, competitive GMs who thrive in this type of atmosphere.

League Overview

• We are entering a brand-new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) covering the 2043-2045 seasons.
• Buy-in: $51 covers you for the full three-season span.
• Our pace: Each in-game season takes about two months in real life, meaning your buy-in guarantees at least six months of competitive
  OOTP action.

We currently have two teams available—each offering a unique challenge for an ambitious GM.

Open Teams

San Antonio Mules (formerly the Miami Marlins) FILLED
The Mules have been the definition of consistent but not quite competitive, floating around .500 for the past eight seasons. However, they have solid young talent, financial flexibility, and a clean payroll (only two players signed to extensions).

• Farm System Rank: 28th (but with promising unranked prospects)
• Market Size: Below Average (lower budget but benefits from extra draft picks)
• Ideal GM: Someone who can maximize value in the draft and build a contender on a budget.

Rebranding Flexibility
Want to revert back to the Miami Marlins? No problem.
Have a bold rebrand or relocation idea? Pitch it to the league council for approval.

Arizona Diamondbacks FILLED
Arizona is a team in transition, sitting in the middle of a rebuild that has now lasted five seasons. However, the light at the end of the tunnel is clear:

• Farm System Rank: #1 in the league
• Market Size: Below Average (lower budget but benefits from extra draft picks)
• MLB Record Last Season: .438 (but with young players on the rise)
• Recent History: Won their division three years in a row before the rebuild began
• Ideal GM: Someone who excels in player development and long-term planning. The team could turn the corner soon, but smart management will determine the timeline.

St. Louis Cardinals FILLED
The Cardinals might be a hidden gem in this batch of openings. They’re fresh off a teardown that flooded their system with talent, but they’re far from a lost cause.

• Farm System Rank: 23rd (but undervalued, given their influx of new talent)
• Market Size: Huge
• Budget: 4th in the league, with $85 million available to spend
• MLB Record Last Season: .426

• New GMs get special roster flexibility:
• Reduce one existing contract to a one-year deal.
• Remove one No-Trade Clause from an existing contract.
• Scouting customization: Every GM can customize their scout once per CBA.

League Features:

• Coaches off.
• Inflation off, with budget minimums and caps to keep competition balanced.
• League decisions are guided by a council of appointed and elected members.
