OOTP26 "OOTP MODS" folder
Devs: please create an "OOTP MODS" folder within the OOTP26 main folder.Thank you.
Also: Silvam, if you read this, please let your "fans" here know when you'll be getting a chance to upload your historical stadiums to the OOTP 26 (Steam) workshop. Those of us who enjoy old-time historical replays can't live with them :-) You're the best! Thanks... Last edited by robedits; 03-14-2025 at 01:58 PM. |

It is actually very easy and even faster than downloading all these files every time to just copy and paste them from your own computer. All of the mods are in the Data folder.
All you have to do is copy and paste your folders from 25 to 26. Just go into your Steam folder, go into OOTP 25 Data folder and then copy, Backgrounds (If you have any), ballcaps, ballparks (even though Silvam might be working on getting the new scoreboard installed in some stadiums), colors, fg_files, jersey_fonts, jerseys, logos, pants, photos (If you use player pictures over facegens), and socks. When it asks if you want to overwrite things, just say no.

If I'm understanding the intended purpose correctly, I like the idea. In some games you'll have a mods folder and you know anything in it are mods and everything elsewhere are not, but also that everything in the mods folder overrides anything that isn't.

Steam mods almost always load directly where they need to go. For example, facegens on the Steam workshop go directly into the "fg_files" folder. No zip file, no holding place necessary. No manual actions on the part of the subscriber. For Fast Spring, one can just make a file called "mods" in the folder with customizable data, but any forum download is going to go to "Downloads" as a default and then you can put it there.

THanks Silvam for your stadium mods (he posted them to the OOTP26 workshop). ANd thanks as well to the other stadium mod creators and facegen AND uni creators who posted THEIR files to the same workshop! Makes things easier!
