Starting a new game

Starting a new game is there any difference between these two:

New Custom Game - League Creation Wizard - select Historical

or

New Historical Game - League Creation Wizard - select Historical

I used to always start with New Custom Game. Now I tried it with New Historical Game. Seems like there is no difference.
