Next patch

When is the next patch coming out? I feel like ever since the newest patch came out, I am having more problems like random minor league signings ending up in DFA

Any update on the next patch?

I reinstalled the game and am starting fresh. But I want to wait till the next update to see if it gets rid of the bugs

Random minor league signings ending on DFA is not really a bug, it's just an adjustment we've made as part of the overall minor league AI adjustments.

This lets the AI use the DFA in the same way real life teams use a similar list as a holding area for minor league players who are between assignments.

This lets the AI handle the minors a little better and more efficiently than when it always has to immediately assign players to a team. This also simulates things like how many drafted players do not actually play in the minors in the draft years, instead getting rest and instruction training.

But to your main question, I would think we will have a public beta of the patch at some point his week, but there are still a few things we're working through first.

Okay,

But what about first year draft selections ending up on the major league roster and DFA? This was the big bug for me and the computer is in charge of the minor leagues

Them ending up on the DFA list is intended. It's getting more and more typical for players to not even play in the minors in their draft years especially pitchers and so to replicate that, the AI may move recently drafted players onto the DFA even multiple times.

I mentioned in another thread, but you look at some real life examples, you have a gap where players may sign, but are not actually assigned to any team. You can even see this with players who have already signed at times. That's more or less what this is simulating.

You can see that gap for Levi Sterling last year, between July 25 and August 5. Then for him, even once he was technically assigned to the FCL, he never actually suited up on the roster or played there. So this is really just replicating this real-life behavior.

Now, that being said, it's probably not desired behavior for the AI to put most recently drafted players on the MLB roster (separately from putting them on the DFA list), so if that's happening and it's not a top pick who is almost fully developed, that might be something we need to check out.

If you have a league where you've seen this, please do post a link to the league files and let us know the specific players on the MLB roster that seem off.

Sorry, I uninstalled and reinstalled the game hoping to fix any bugs.

Also, it was not one or two players but almost every player I drafted in the first year player draft. Also, I gave them the demanded money that they wanted for the first 5 picks. I do not mind if one or two players this happens to, but almost the entire first year players drafted.

What should I do next to help you out?

They aren't going to be able to answer that type of question with a specific time frame.

Patches timing depends on how testing goes as well as how much they are trying to put into it. Lukas said they are hoping for a Public Beta Patch later this week. The official patch will follow some time afterwards depending on whether any issues surface from those using the Beta.
