Importing from 2024 to 2025

I cannot seem to import a game into the new version. To be clear, I haven't ever been able to do it and I'm an avid 5 year user. I keep getting the error message, "cannot import file." Any guidance on what I'm doing wrong??

There is not an OOTP 25 Manual out yet, but the process is pretty much the same as described in the OOTP24 manual.

sorry just getting back to this reply. I choose import 24 game, then go to 2024 games - and find the file that was my latest saved game, select world.dat and it asks me to rename the file. Then it says, "cannot import file." every time. I am running both 2024 game and 2025 game on my laptop is it possible that could be driving the issue?

It’s okay to have both games on the same computer but do not have them both running at the same time (if that’s what you meant) during the import process.
