OOPS I did it again
I am seriously caught in what I want to do. Started a couple franchises but can't find my sweet spot. I want an interesting league for an interesting write up and follow.
Think I got it. I started a new league. I am simming 25 years. Starting with 24 teams and expanding to 32. 2 new franchises every 5 years. SIM handles everything else. I find, though I love the thought, that feeder leagues slow the sim down and can create weird issues with draft players not to mention raising the level off good to bad player ratio so that almost NO ONE is bad. I don't like that. I want superstars and scrubs. Almost through the 25th season and I think I'll kick it off by rehashing the first 25 years. I can already tell you I like how the stats are breaking out but I also, for the first time ever, had a single player so dominant on offense as to be my first real "Ruth" level star, doing things NO ONE ELSE comes close to. But anyway, that's what I am doing now. I would LOVE to find someone to help make my uniforms or help me find many of the old ones I used before.

A question
So I have actually spent WAY more time on the run up to taking a franchise than I anticipated. I got obsessed.
So I have a question for you guys/gals. I was going to complete my last expansion year, then sim 5 years ahead to get all 32 teams a history. However, I'd prefer to be writing a thread folks are interested in beyond the fact I played the game professionally for 22 years. I'd like to create a thread with interest. Would it be more interesting to: A) Follow a club from day one of its existence, knowing there will be 3-5 or more years of .500 or worse ball, but watch the franchise being created from the ground up OR B) Take a franchise that hasn't had success, or has never won a title, and pilot that club. I'm in love with the history part so I am going to follow the league along with my team. Orcin managed to do both but as I re-read his thread I realize he did something I've never been able to do imo, make the reader interested and remember his players. Love to hear your thoughts. The IBL's 1st 20 years will be coming soon, as only I love to do it. Year by year with a quick run down of who did what and who won. To give the league a foundation.

The LA Storm are back, sort of. After a few really bad seasons they took home another Frank Robinson going 102-60 only to meet their division rival Phoenix in the Division series. The Roadrunners walked them off in game 7 and eventually reached their 1st world series where they were beaten by Philadelphia 4-3. It was the Patriots 1st world series after 2 prior trips. Dallas LF Jorge Madrid hit .316 with 36 HR's 115 RBI's and scored 124 runs to win his 1st Hank Aaron award. Philadelphia ace Peter Guard went 17-6 2.52 to win the Koufax while Denvers Ryan Carrasco won his 2nd Rivera with 35 Saves and a 1.73 ERA. San Francisco catcher Jeff Gruen hit 43 HR's and scored 107 times to win the NL MVP LA's Alex Torres went 14-4 2.82 to win the Koufax, I think this was LA's 6th. Oklahoma City LF Erik Murphy hit .336/.399/.528 to win the NL Jackie Robinson award. NL Champion Phoenix closer Dallas Nafus saved 36 with a 2.45 ERA to win the Rivera. SEASON HIGHLIGHTS Phoenix Roadrunner Mark Tunis fanned 10 in the seasons only no-hitter in a 6-0 win over San Diego. Roadrunner 1B Takeya Tasuda hit 50 HR's. The LA Storm are back! After a 5 year hiatus they returned to the World Series (their 7th) and downed the Austin Roughnecks to win their 5th title. LA's 103 wins were not only not the highest total, but it made them the wild card to division foe Arizona (106-56)! LA got payback though as they downed Phoenix 4-2 in the Division series before beating Jacksonville 4-2 and then Austin 4-2 in the World series. Storm 1B Matt Graham hit .338 with 42 HR's and 130 RBI's to win the NL Hank Aaron Award. Teammate Myles Gaines won what I think is the 8th Koufax award by an LA Pitcher as he went 15-9 3.19. RF Brian Dobbs of Houston hit exactly 50 HR's to become just the 8th player all time Brooklyn's Mark Whitten was the lone 20 game winner, going 20-5 3.14 New Yorks Adam Brolin became the first pitcher to save 400 games.
