AI loves making players 1B

I'm not sure if this is something that can be changed, but it seems like so many players that are above average defenders at another more valuable position end up at 1B.

In multiple saves I've seen Brendan Donovan, despite being rated well at 2B, corner outfield, etc. end up as a first baseman very early on.

Just in general, it seems like the AI is way too quick to turn guys into first basemen. It happens, of course, but it doesn't seem very realistic.

Odd. OOTP has always gone very strongly the other way. Any chance the AI can move a player up the defensive spectrum it would jump on it.

What you see is true. Start standard game sim to around 2040 look at the issue there but issue is deeper than 1st base. Look in your outfield and you'll notice you got left fielders who are better than the right fielder and right fielder better than center fielder. Sometimes (rarely but happens) you'll have DH or 1st base better than all three.

Then Sim ten more years and see how much worse problem becomes. The issue seems get worse with more time.

Some Sims are worse than others but given enough time they will all end up this way.
