Laugh or complain, not sure which

Here's the story. I am in the third year of a GM only game. I hired a well respected manger (Leyland) and had already employed one of the greatest bench coaches on the face of the planet.

Are you with me?

I lose the World Series 4 games to 3. My whole team and staff is coming back for the most part, so I go to extend my AWESOME bench coach.

But wait! I can't because my AWESOME manager has control over the bench coach.

Well, I ended finishing second 9 games back because my AWESOME manager saved me a whopping $50k ($75k vs $25k) and hired one of the worst bench coaches (unproven and best trait was catcher at "average"). To go along with all his 'poor' ratings, he is a control freak.

He and the bench coach had a year left. I fired them both.

I'm not sure if I should laugh or complain. You tell me.

Haha. I play GM-only and the only time I use commissioner mode is when I have a manager that control the hiring for certain staff-positions. To override that over the hiring process.

Yeah, but I've played OOTP so long, I have acquired the 'I am the GM and live with my decision no matter how hard the game wants me to fail" mode of play and refrain from 'can not be fired' and 'commissioner mode'.
