Agreement on Trades?

Is there any time when we see the two GMs agree to a trade?

I wish there was a "I agree and you agree" done deal "Green Light".....rather than the back-and-forth vague gamesmanship. So many times, the deal is really close, but the gamesmanship gets in the way, as if the AI GMs have a real personality of always not being taken advantaged.
I get the GMs want a good fair deal, but too many times the deal is really close, but the language is vague like "Meh"(?). "Do you agree or don't you?"
Then I just push the force trade button and move on!
My example is the closest to getting an "I agree" I have seen.

just hit Make This Work Now, will give a list of players they'd accept to complete the trade

I only make trades that are accepted on the spot without having to submit it for them to think over, so it's certainly a thing

Even if I 'throw in' an extra player, the GM still wants one more guy.

Because I was testing. The AI ask for trash players, so I decided to throw them in at start. The AI ask for another trash player. I was curious, get it?

When I make a trade offer that I think is fair, and the AI agrees immediately, I start to think that I offered too much, and question my own offer. On the other side, when the AI asks for more, it just never seems to be satisfied, even if I think I put in enough to satisfy them. And if I push the ‘Make this work now” button, it asks for way too much-a player rated much more than the one I am after. But, all in all, I think I have been pretty successful in making trades

When I get to that point where we agree, I use draft picks to squeeze out every last drop of value. Often once you agree, you can get them to throw in a 10th and 12th round pick and they won’t bat an eye. I just start at 20 and keep moving it up until they don’t agree, and keep the best one they agreed to. Then you can often start over and add a second draft pick at 20 and move up. When they won’t even agree to a last-round pick, I know I’m done.

What I think I was looking for in my post was the final "AGREE!" Maybe two green lights, one for each team.
Maybe this never happens in real MLB, but it drives me crazy to have this uncertainty.

Are you playing in hard mode? What are your trade settings?
As I understand it, in hard Mode, you always have to submit a trade before the AI agrees or not. If you turn off hard mode, you will most times see that the other team agrees to trade, asks to submit and get back to you, or turns you down. Some of the responses can be funny or just annoying. You also have your own GM butting in, which is definitely annoying to me.

No hard mode, but I think the "annoying" part is what I wish they would stop. I think there is some merit to it, but in the end, I just want the other (AI) GM to say "Agree" and move on.

Try moving the trade settings slider to easy. Or go into commish mode and force the trade.

The only players I can seem to convince the trade AI to part ways with are young, unskilled relief pitchers. Any other position, and the trade AI balks.

It would be nice if your own team Assistant GM would have something more constructive to say than, “We’d look like fools if we made this trade.”

Ignore the AGM. It seems they look at salaries first. Could you show us the ratings for the players in the above example? Close often times means a regular or better player. Not a scrub.

Again, I think I am interested in seeing both sides agree, and that it is obvious that they agree (green example). The annoying back on forth I get, and adding players to make it fit I get, but at some point, the AI has to agree that this is an agreeable trade. (I agree, you agree? OK done)

Maybe the AI does not have the ability to finalize the decision, just "Meh" in one example. But perhaps there is some logic where the AI adds up the players ratings and decides, yes this is a good deal for both.

I just haven't seen it.

I make plenty of trades, with the other side agreeing to it. In all honesty, from your above example, you are not offering enough. This is why I asked to see the ratings of the 2 players. Your AGM response tells me it is a rip-off. The other GM response tells me you have to add more players, draft picks, or some form of money as straight cash or retaining salaries. Or look at it this way, would you make the deal if you were the other team? Alternatively, you can use the 'Make this work now' button; at least this will give you an idea of what the other team covets. At that point, if it is a list of prospects, I find the one with the lowest potential and throw him in. If they want one of my top players or prospects, then I have already offered up, and I walk away. You can't trade some middle reliever for Jaun Soto. You need to most likely overpay for him. Is it worth the price of doing business? That is up to you. Also, you can't usually trade 4 quarters for one dollar. IE 4 average players for one great one.
