online league GM getting fired?

I'm curious if anyone has played in an online league where GMs can get fired?

For context, rather than a human player being the GM and pseudo owner of the team, is the "Human Managers can be fired" setting useable in online leagues? I was thinking about how a league could function when human players are actually employees of the team and what that could like look if a human player were fired from the team and got a job with another team, etc.

in this scenario, there could also be AI controlled teams (in theory) that human players could apply to be GM for, in the case that they are in fact fired from their previous team.

Any insights into this mechanic and interaction with online play would be greatly appreciated.
