Locking up and won't sim.

I am 2/3 through the season. When I try to sim, nothing happens. It totally locks up on me. I am unable to close the program or do anything else except bring up my Windows task manager. That is the only way I can exit the game. Everything else works fine and my changes all save okay. I just can't sim at all! The sim message, "press space to interupt" appears but nothing is happening. ....... As always, any help is appreciated.

You need to give me some details about your system, league, etc.

is this an online league or a solo league?... If its a solo league, what rosters are you using.. I had the same problem with the online league, but it was a fault of some of the owners that was causing the freeze

It's a solo league. ...... If I re-install the game, will I lose my league files?

Details ... Windows XP, first season career league w/24 teams. I might have accidently erased something in Windows Task Manager. The game originally locked up after a sim and the only way I could get out was to get into task manager and close the OOTP5 file. Not sure if I erased anything or not.
