Strange Behavior with a Contract Extension

I noticed today that a player that I had signed to a three year contract extension earlier in the season was being shown as becoming a free agent at the end of the year. I thought that maybe I had not actually pressed the sign extension button after we had agreed to terms but the Transaction News report was showing the extension as being signed. The player information page, salary report and other places all reflected the fact that he had not signed an extension.

It did allow me to sign the extension again.

Notice on the attached print screen that Lino Bonet signed the extension on July 1 and then again on July 30.
