I've just finished my first season of ootp3 and when I hit the proceed to next season button the game freezes up everytime. I've checked all the depth charts, run the computer manager made sure my team is alright but nothing seems to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd make sure you rebooted, turned off ALL background programs, changed all teams to AI controlled, run auto-manager, and then try to proceed again. Others here will probably have further suggestions, so try that out and reply here if it works or not.

Thanks for the help but it didn't work, my computer should have no problem handling the game and I'm sure I've got plenty of hard drive space (40gb) (450mhz) (128Ram) I just want to get to the next season. I've cut some much money and I want to sign some quality guys

[quote], my computer should have no problem handling the game

I'm sure it doesn't, but as you are in the middle of a constant crash cycle you need to maximize your odds of getting out of it. I'm not sure what to try next as that should have done it, hopefully others that have experienced this can reply with further idea's. As an absolute last resort you might try the reset league button - I think that got me past a crash cycle in ootp2. Is this a fictional or historic league by any chance? |

It's a historic league, I downloaded Rolen's league. To hell with it. I'll just start over and hope it doesn't do it again

Have you checked to make sure all the folders are in the .lg directory? EXPIMP, Box, Logos, News.
As I recall this was causing a problem for some people, but I'm not sure whether this pertains to your problem or not, but it's worth checking.

I remember when Rolen's rosters first came out people were having trouble getting to the next season. I remeber we had to go and copy the coaches and spring files from another league and post them in the Rolen leagues folder. I don't remember if those were the only files though, someone else may remember if there was others.

I had the same prob....
Simply copying the coaches.dat file from another league folder into my Rolen league folder took care of the problem. |
