Game Crashed...can't get to work

Hi,

I was trying to sign a free agent with Montreal when the game crashed. Next time I went into the game and tried to load my career it came up with an abnormal termination error..or a runtime error. I cannot do anything wit hthe game and I just got it this morning. What can I do???

Hi Retroguy, & welcome to the forum. Check out <a href="http://www.ootpbb.com/board/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic&f=4&t=000041" target="_blank">this</a> post - it basically explains that the more PC specs and game crash info you provide the better the odds of accurate advice. I would not want to speculate on your issue without hearing more info.

Ok here is the info..

I have a PII 350. RAM is 64 pretty bad hehehe. I am getting more this weekend, but still does not help me. I open up OOTP4, and I only have one league which is teh rolen2001 or whatever it is with the rosters. It used to work for like 1/2 hour. I tried to sign a free agaent and it said OOTP4 did an illegal operation. I closed it and reopened the game. Now when I try to load rolen league it says Runtime Error...C:\program files\ootp4\ootp4.exe. Then the next line says...abnormal program termination. I click on ok and it closes the game. So I cannot even play the game. Should I reinstall the rosters? I may try that. I also installed the update. I hope this is all the information that is needed..

Are you now able to load or create any other leagues when you start the game up? Trying to figure if it is a missing file or folder in one roster set, a game problem, or a patch install issue.

The original crash on the free agent screen that started this may have been mentioned before, hard to judge though as info can be spotty but that sounds familiar.
