				OOTP2006 has encountered a problem...

Im trying to sign a player in "Exploring World". When i select the country (Puerto Rico), select a player (Federico Contreras) and hit the Action pull-up menu, The following error is displayed: Error: "ootp2006.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close." The same error appears sometimes when I right click on a player. |

When, specifically, does the error occur? The moment you click the Action menu? Or did you select something from the menu? Thanks! | |

This has happened each time to me as well. After the Inaugural Draft, I would be working on my depth chart, click on the 'action' button in the player screen and 'boom' it would crash. Error occurs the moment the action button is clicked.

metspr, We haven't been able to duplicate this problem. Do you still have the league file in which the problem occurs, and is it still occurring? If so, please PM me! Also, for reference TT #1481 |

Well, I think is more about computer memory or specifications because the problem was in my laptop, but I install also the game in my desktop that has more RAM memory (2 GB) and the game only crash one time during all night. Maybe this problem is regarding the other topic of CPU Memory Usage. Also, the problem still occurring on my laptop but not in my desktop. |

I'm not sure it's memory because for me this bug was team-specific for me. IE i could right-click other teams and do other teams' actions fine, but my own team crashed when I clicked it. My remedy was simply turn on commish mode, switch teams and then switch back, but it happened within my own team so it may not work for you.

FYI, this probably won't help, but I got the same error trying to add the Japanese League to a new Fictional League I was creating. It was only after two attempts that I realized I had edited the nations.txt file for an earlier league, so it had no Japanese data. I renamed the original back to nations.txt and all was fine. Just wondering if that might be an issue?
