I don't know if I'm experiencing the same issue, but garsh is the play-by-play -- well, unplayable. It takes about 2-3 seconds between "Hit any key or click mouse to continue" and bringing up the play-by-play controls again. Ditto clicking on the navigation tabs, and, really, all navigation, inside or outside of a game. Seems like it justs take longer than it should to do rudimentary things.

With 6.5, I enjoyed playing out all my games; now, it's just too burdensome to bother. I didn't have much time for the game pre-patch, so I'm not sure I can compare the two, but I'm certainly disappointed in the amount of time needed to play out a game.

I'm running OOTP v1.0.1 on an Athlon 64 3400+ with 1GB RAM and a Radeon 9600.

Ahh yes... do for one, do for all...

Just curious, what type of video card did you upgrade to?

Unfortunately I only have an AGP slot on my computer - no PCI-express yet. So I got a Radeon 9800 Pro. I think that cost me about $150. I couldn't justify paying more just to play a $50 game.

I think we've nailed it for Patch2 although it's not gone for testing ... yet.

im assuming its being tested on machines with a similar level of techness as those who've reported issues?

id hate to see it get tested on Markus' or Nick's whiz, be reported as "fixed" and then still suck for those with a "normal" computer

Sorry to jump in here so late.

Obviously a lot has happened since last this was being discussed. Is anyone still experiencing this problem in 1.0.2?

Thanks,

Steve

its much much better, but still could be even better. there does appear to be a memory leak somewhere because after being on a while, it does slow down. nothing like before with the 2-3 second delay between click and response, but still something amiss.

i just ran a test with a single 10 team league, no minors, boxes, logs, financials, ammy draft, trading, FA, news ticker, sim details, etc. and it took almost 12 minutes to sim 1 season. this is an absolute bare bones league, so i think it should be faster (for comparison it took 6 minutes 47 seconds using v6.51a).

dh,

I do know that there is continuing effort regarding the memory management and so forth. For now, I'm going to move this to Claimed Fixed, and let's look again once the next patch is released, OK?

Thanks!
