Pitchers Fielding the Fly Ball
Purely observational, but does it seem pitchers field infield flies just a 'hair' too often? As a rule, I thought the pitcher generally yields to another infielder when the ball is popped up.

Yeah, the pitcher usually does. Do you have any sort of quantitative data on what you are seeing? Maybe a percentage of infield fly balls caught by the pitcher? Without some sort of hard data, we can't really address the issue.
