Is it possible to play this game without all the financial garbage ? I played a game like MicroLeague for years and had lots of fun without having to deal with real world financial garbage. Honestly when playing a baseball sim we should be able to play it without it. I am sure that APBA has none of that and I will be getting that game but I don't mind seeing a game that allows for both and encourage companies to do just that in the future. It should not have to be one or the other. So with OOTP 2013 can you play a season or play an online season without it involving any financial stuff ?

u can disable the financial system in the game settings or u can use reserve-era clause rules if u want

I've never used the financial system. Just disable it. Not a big deal.

As previously said you can disable it. When I simulate history "as is" wich means that everybody play for the team they did in real life I don't use it (since I make all the moves manually and contracts aren't necessary). I only use it when I simulate a "what if" historical game.

Same here ... just concentrate on the players, stats ... and such ... most importantly ... Having a blast in the comfort of my little haven, the Field of Dreams ...

Never used financials, never missed 'em. I also play with 'scouting' off, so the numbers I see on a player's ratings are the real thing.

My league is a 16 team league, with two 8-team conferences and two 4-team divisions in each conference. No wildcards at playoffs.

My organization has four teams...
Major league
Triple-A
Double-A
Single-A

I play out all of my Major League and Single-A games - in one-pitch mode.
