Which level of minors if I only want one

Does level of minors matter if I only want one minor league affiliation?

As far as I can tell the only difference is stadium capacity.

I would go with AAA personally. Shouldn't make a ton of difference either way, but the talent level will be different depending on what you choose. You probably want a place where people can get ready for the bigs.

Second question. Can the default financial structure for the independent league handle adding a minor league team?

Honestly, I don't know how you have things set up, and I don't use independent leagues. There is always the idea of setting it up and simming for a few years to test it out.
