Clarence Jenkins
This is a different Clarence Jenkins from the two I have already posted. This Clarence Jenkins was a shortstop with the Memphis Red Sox in 1946 and 1947. On the left, Clarence is shown as an older man in a Memphis Red Sox uniform. On the right, he is shown as a young man in an unidentified uniform.

Wilbur "Willie" Young
Wilbur "Willie" Young pitched for the Birmingham Black Barons in 1945. I previously posted a photo of him as an older man wearing a Black Barons cap. Attached is a photo of him during his playing years. It shows him with an industrial league team from around Birmingham, Alabama. The team represented the Stockham Valves and Fittings Company in the Alabama Industrials League. As can be seen in the photo, Willie did not have a full right arm; he was a one-handed player.

Claude Johnson
According to James Riley's encyclopedia and the Negro Baseball Register, by Clark and Lester, this player is G. Claude "Hooks" Johnson, 3B/2B/SS/P, who played for nine Negro League teams during the 1919-32 period. Seamheads.com, however, calls him Claude Cecil "Hooks" Johnson. He is shown here in an unidentified uniform.

Lou Johnson
"Sweet Lou" Johnson was an outfielder for the Kansas City Monarchs in 1955. I've not yet found an image of him in a Negro Leagues uniform, so here he is in a Los Angeles Dodgers uniform as a reminder of his major league career.

Robert Jordan
Robert Jordan, C/1B, is shown in a Cuban X Giants uniform. I have to qualify this photo. Gary Ashwill went through a process of analyzing the Cuban X Giants team photo on his blog, and deduced that this player was likely to be Robert Jordan, based on the 1905 X Giants roster. But the case is impossible to prove at this point.

George Gayles
George Gayles was a player on the Lincoln Giants of 1929, and he is shown here in a Lincoln Giants uniform. This photo was published after the Lincoln Giants had beaten the Baltimore Black Sox in late May of 1929. I've not found Gayles listed in any Negro Leagues register. There was an unknown-first-name Gales who played first base for the Detroit Stars in 1931.
