Nice tidbit of information. Interesting to me especially since High Heat was what got me started in this baseball text sim business.

Think of it: Had Markus made that move, perhaps we would know him today as Mark Henderson (after he "Americanized" himself, although Heinsohn is a rather common name over here as are thousands of others that originated elsewhere around the world) . . .

. . . and we would all be looking forward to High Heat Baseball 2015 right here, right now!

Let's see. 4,100-some games with my Raccoons, all managed careles- carefully. That's about 15 minutes per game, for 1,025 hours. Then double that to account for playoff games, extra innings, wheeling and dealing. Some time for crying, too. I don't think doubling quite does it.

Then there's the other dynasties that didn't work out one way or another. Casually add another three seasons' worth of time.

So all in all, I might have put about 100 full days of life time into OOTP (over the course of three years). There are very few games that can rival that. I don't think any games can rival that except for Civilization II and NASCAR Racing 3. The latter might hold a sound lead, actually. I drove a couple of seasons for which I painted sets of cars myself, and that actually took more time then the racing and was heavily joyfree.

On the other hand, if I look at the Raccoons right now .........

Yeah, OOTP might be up there by itself.

Not sure if it was 2002 or 2003 when I started playing but has been a great ride! The first year I purchased we went on a vacation and a friend stayed at our place and destroyed our computer with a virus and I could not fix so bought twice.

HH was a not a Console game wow I have it for PS1, love the majors minors aspect tho which is was helped hooked me to OOTP but started with the TP as I was to young to know about computer games, till late 2004 my dad showed me this game and with the Hockey Lock out and Jays winning season (2005) I was hooked and never looked back. Seeing this game evolve from what it was in OOTP 5 has been so great. I did try BM but this game with all you can do is so much better, the biggest thing tho is I can take my world to every new game ( on to my 6th version but never a game simmed in 11) and the league is still going strong world still intact. The history this game can give you makes you want to actually live in it some times

Well thanks OOTPD crew looking forward to Friday Since I'm taking Half day for this and I hope you guys enjoy the fruits of your labor as much as I have theses last 12 years.
