Depth Chart and Lineup

I had a CF that had gone cold so I put the backup into the LHP, RHP, RHP with DH, and RHP with DH lineups in place on him. I went into the depth chart and added the backup above the previous starter. However, when I simulate games, it seems as though the original starter is still making his starts. How can I bench his rear?

1) Check to make sure you have not delegated lineups to the AI in the Manager Options screen.
2) Check to make sure 7 Day line ups are not enabled.
3) In the player strategy page you can sit him for x number of days.

Alternatively use 7-day lineups to bench him vs same handed SP in the hopes that the platoon advantage brings him out of the slump.

I had the bench coach setting the lineups. i thought that I could overide that by still yet adjusting them myself. thanks for the help
