Personally I think the Minor leagues work best without a draft. Players go to their real life team automagically and progress from there.

Good to know. I'll keep an eye out. Will I have to do something to see the change in my league (I.E. Re-Import world Database)?

Oh....and I found another anomaly. Evan Gattis played outfield and DH'ed for most of 2015. But yet his primary position is listed as C.

If there is a way, I don't mind fixing this one manually. Any ideas?

Marcum pitched for Cleveland IRL in 2015. He has stats for Toronto first in his neutered stats to fill the gap so to speak and then his Cleveland stats are listed (they've been neutered somewhat as well, by adding 40.0 IP to the total along [bringing it to 75.0 IP] with Marcumish stats for those 40.0 IP). He also had gaps in 2009 and 2014 which are filled in with Toronto stats. Nothing we can do about that as he missed the entire season those two years, so it's good that he has stats to fill them in regardless of where he pitches (I assume the team field must be filled in otherwise the guy would be a free agent).

Basically the gap stats he's using for 2009, 2014, and 2015 are exactly 1/2 his totals from his 2008 season with Toronto (W, L, G, GS, IP, HA, ER, HR, BB, and K), and I guess that's why he winds up on Toronto in 2009, 2014, and 2015. My contention was that maybe the 2015 stats could all come from Cleveland as that's where he actually pitched, but I realize that could get confusing on your end, and I don't want that either. I guess if someone starts a straight historical in 2015, it's up to them to put the players where they should be, and I'd rather have the players with quality neutralized stats (as they have now) then have the players on the right teams (if that's the choice that must be made: and I'm seeing that it might be given the gymnastics you would have to go through on your end to get team placements right).

Sorry if this is rambling. Obviously, I don't know how it is to be on your end of things. You know what is possible and what is not, and how the team field should be filled in, so I guess I'm a bit out of my depth here.

On a positive note Neutralized Batting Stats look great, which is a big plus, so once the correct Neutered Fielding Stats (Innings Played) are in the next update, 2015 should be all fixed up and raring to go. Thank you very much for that.

EDIT: By the way pitcher Tony Zych is still listed as a DH in 17.4.36 because his real fielding stats list his position as DH and he has no neutralized stats. Thanks.

Just as an aside. Neutralized stats work best after 3 years have passed. So 2013 would be the last accurate year and 2015 the least accurate year with 2014 somewhere in the middle.

Zych and other fixes will be in update 2.

Especially since there was no draft IRL at the time.

I always use 3 year recalc double weighted for the current year in my games. I'm not really affected by the players on different teams thing, as I usually play historical random debut. I was just noting what I saw when I fired up a 2015 straight historical in order to check in on the progress of the 2015 neutralized stats issues.

Donaldson imports as a 3B, Myers as a CF, and Davis imports as a Closer in my 2015 historical, so not sure what you're getting at here. If it's a standard game, then yes that's an issue but it belongs in the Roster Set Issues thread, not here in the Historical MLB/Minors roster and db issues thread.

Once you've patched to the next version (there is a hotfix patch out today, but I think Spritze is talking about the one that comes out just after opening day), you need to start a new game for the changes to take effect.

For the years before there was an amateur draft, I even prefer to have the rookies just come in as free agents and let the teams sign them. It works all right now that major league teams will purchase contracts. It's kind of cool to see where guys will wind up (and, now, with historical minors, to see how they wind up there). For the way I like to play, historical minors (and, eventually, negro leagues) have the potential to utterly transform the game. Thanks for all of your work on it.

Historical league (1965) initial roster issues:

1. Why would the AI put players on waivers that have option years remaining?

2. Why would the AI put players on the 40-man roster that have 0-1 years of pro experience and then option them to the minors?

After importing League from OOTP16- having problems being able to continue league with the next Amateur Draft- game cannot find historical database base. Is there any way to continue my draft history into OOTP17?

Will be fixed in update #2. BBref and the old Lahman have different ID's for about 200 players. Lahman is through 2014, BBref is only 2015. I need to change the old Lahman ID's to match BBref. I did this a month or two ago but I forgot the DB did not update due to a corruption problem I did not find until later. Need to redo this. Sorry.
