AI overvaluing injures players

I’m not sure if this is really a bug as I guess it would depend on whether or not others are seeing similar things, but I started up an MLB standard game and the Dodgers signed Trevor Rosenthal to a 1-year $3M+ contract. Seems reasonable except he is listed as out for 10-11 months (consistent with RL). I guess it could just be the Dodgers way of showing the world they have money to burn. A 2-year deal to lock him up after he recovers might have been realistic (the Rangers signed Edinson Volquez with that goal in mind), but the Dodgers are paying Rosenthal to spend the year on the 60 day DL.

Yeah we noticed this late in beta. It's already been reported and it's on the to-do list!

Looks like OOTP knows about this. Same thing happened to me. A number of teams got in a bidding war for Rosenthal and then he signed a 1 year contract with the Cubs even though he will be on the DL for the entire season

So just wanted to say that a month later this exact thing happened in my game as well. Also with Rosenthal. Signed for almost $4m to a one-year contract by someone who then has spent the last two months trying to trade him.

I have a mediocre 2 star SP who just got hit with a 9 month injury. He is not terrible and has 3 more years locked in at a pretty good rate (the team I got him from ate 75% of his salary) but I am not sure why anyone would trade for him in this state. They are willing to take him off my hands and give me a minor prospect too.

This feels like cheating so I am having trouble pulling the trigger, even though the min/maxxer in me wants to.
